We hit the streets of Daytona Beach this past weekend and it was awesome to see the power of God work. A few of the awesome witnesses were...........
A couple came out of Razzle's Night Club and as they were passing Eileen and I, I asked them if they were living their lives for Jesus. The woman's mouth dropped open and she asked "what did you say"? I asked her again and she said "you can't be asking asking people that when they are drunk and walking out of a nightclub. She was also dressed very seductively and you would have thought that she was naked the way she tried covering herself up. She was pierced with conviction and kept repeating "why did you ask me that" and "what are you doing out here"? I told her that "this is where Jesus would be, out reaching the lost". We continued to talk to her and her boyfriend and prayed that the Lord would change her life and that she would seek Jesus with her whole heart.
Another absolutely awesome move of God was when Eileen and I were just standing outside Razzle's and three women came flying out of the emergency exit. The second woman that came out kind of stumbled and asked the first one why she didn't warn her that there was a small step to go down. She looked at us and said "I'm so f____ up" and then she started walking toward us. The Holy Spirit quickened me to tell her "your friend didn't warn you but I am here to warn you" and she looked at me very confused. I then told her that we were there to warn her of eternal hell. She immediately became totally sober. She said that she didn't need to worry about hell because she was saved a few years ago. She believed in "once saved, always saved" and we then showed her in the Word why that is not true.
2Peter 2:20 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.
They were from Garden City, Michigan outside of Detroit. We continued to minister to them for another 20 minutes or so then they hugged us both and thanked us for witnessing to them. We told them that we pray that we will be a divine appointment for someone before we ever go out. They put their drinks down and walked away completely sober and with the joy of the Lord.
Another witness that was very sad was a guy in his early 20's that was in the Army and had just returned from Iraq. He was very set on the fact that he was a good person and that he did good things for people. He thought that this would put him in good standing with the Lord. We told him that it wasn't about works and that it is all about a personal relationship with Jesus. He refused to listen and we told him that we are all given a free will to do and think what we want. We told him that his thinking would lead him to hell and he said if that is what it is then that is what he will have to live with. There was no changing his mind but we pray that others will cross his path and that someone will get through to him before it is too late.
Next week we will start putting other members of the team experiences in the blog also.
